Oyster reefs in the Indian River Lagoon are dying. UCF researchers are looking at ways to restore them. Ninety Winter Park High School students are helping with the project that involves putting rubber mats in the lagoon to give baby oysters something to hang onto. So far, seven acres have been restored in Mosquito Lagoon with the hopes of restoring ten more acres. (2008)
