@jamesnkerr I did 0-60 in 7.7 with my 1999 Cherokee 4.0, recorded with Vbox.

@NemanjaGuitar You do realize you have the weak 0331 heads on your y2k XJ, right ? Your engine would go kaboom if you even came close to overheating, lol.
-
I didn't know u can leave the superchip connected. Plus mine don't have that function that I know. I look into it.

@NemanjaGuitar Actually, your XJ is faster than the 3.8. Those things are pigs. Guarantee if you supercharge your XJ you could see 7 second 0-60. Watch for the new Penstar V6 in the 2012 Wranglers though. Stock it hits 60 in 6.5 seconds...holy shit! P.S., they never should have killed the 4.0, it's still the best engine they ever put in a Jeep.

Wow, I do 0-60 in under 7 seconds with my new 2012 with a 6-speed, and mine is an Unlimited 4-door.

Wow, the 8.4 seconds is the same exact time for the new 2012 unlimited (automatic) with the Pentastar.
-
I would love to see a 0-60 with the 6-speed manual. The 4 speeds are lolslow.
-
what size tires are you running? 35's?

Good call on the Pink Floyd background music... outstanding JK
btw, how did the supercharger affect your mpg? Any gains/losses?

@NemanjaGuitar for in city driving I haven't seen much of a difference. For highway driving I have picked up 4-5 MPG. The engine does not have to work as hard to hold highway speeds, which has equated to fuel savings.

This looks great, I am thinking about installing a supercharger in my 2000 XJ, but I get 0-60 in about 8.5 with the stock 4.0 engine, k&n filter+ the ram air scoop, high flow cat and raptor turbo muffler. Damn jeep with that 3.8, such a boomer.
Enjoy the supercharged JK, I am sure it's a blast to drive it now.

@NemanjaGuitar Yeah, I wish they had a better engine offering, but the SuperCharger helps quite a bit. It doesn't make it a rocket, but it does make it driveable and fun. One day a Hemi may find its way in there, but until then the RIPP is a very good alternative.

how much does the super charger go for?

@bader175 It's about $4K for the kit. The kit comes with everything needed to install it.
