A long-term, committed relationship is neither adultery nor based on lust.
If people want to be self-indulgent and lustful, they shouldn't get married, gay or straight, but it's not your place to decide for them.

As other commenters have pointed out above, Jesus didn't speak against homosexuality. Part of the OLD Testament *might* be interpreted to do so, if you squint and ignore the political agendas of those who decided what books would appear in the Bible (not to mention translation gaffs through the centuries).
To answer your question, no, some of these faith leaders DON'T use the Bible, because they are Buddhist, Jewish, etc. Despite what you may have heard, this is NOT solely a Christian nation.
