I'm looking to move away from stoneware, not permanently, and I was just curious as to what porcelain clay body you use.

Nice vase!
. How do you determine your clay consistency? It looks like it's very soft. I am having trouble finding the right hardness. Sometimes too hard to work with and sometimes flopping. Any suggestions?

@nbsiamese Actually this clay is rather stiff, I can throw it taller that way. I have it made up exactly like I like it. You just have to make lots of pieces and see what works for you so far as the firmness is concerned.

This clay is NARA porcelain, made by Aardvark Clay. I mention that in the video and talk about various types of porcelain. Good luck with your potting.

Hi David. Pls may I ask you, How much would you sell that floral piece. I really need some ideas about pricing, not much is said about it but when I price my pots am always so unsure sometimes. Your wife too does good work.
Any helpful ideas?
Good work!
Thanks

@terryandura How much to sell your work for depends on a lot of factors, how good it is not being the least. Where you live, how big the piece is, how did the glaze come out, etc, even how well known you are is a factor, just like any art form. Most of my vases sell for between $100 and $200. I don't have trouble selling them, if you find that the work is sitting around for a long time and people are seeing the work, the price is probably too high or you need to improve the work in some way.
