Term limits are now part of the sweeping grassroots reform taking place across America. Human nature is hardwired for self preservation. And in no other field than politics is self-preservation more evident. Politics was never designed as a career objective. Nor should it be. Politics is by design a selfless act of service for the benefit of the constituency's best interests.

The reality is, absent term limits incumbent career politicians become enmeshed in a aristocratic culture isolated from the constituency they ostensibly represent. Many Americans believe holding a political office for more than two terms, results in blindness to the will, and deafness to the voice of the people. The fact is, absent term limits, the ultimate loser is the voter.
Hello! My name is Todd Press, I am running to serve as your Representative for the 2010 Thousand Oaks City Council. My campaign platform includes a promise to introduce city term limits upon all Thousand Oaks City Council members. I believe mandating City Term Limits increases the success of protecting and promoting the best interests of the constituent taxpayer.
