Happy Holidays to you all ♥

I'd like to thank each of you for being so patient and waiting for my next video... you guys rock!! I will try very hard to post more often

Ingredients:
4/5 Tablespoons butter, melted
1/2 cup packed (light or dark) brown sugar
1/2 cup chopped pecans
2 refrigerated pie crusts

this is what I used for the filling but feel free to use your own recipe if you have one, or use canned pie filling if desired
½ cup white sugar
½ cup packed (light or dark) brown sugar
2-3 tbs flour cup all purpose flour
1tbs teaspoon cinnamon
¼ tsp Nutmeg
¼ tsp Salt
5 large Granny Smith apples, peeled, cored & cut into 1/2" slices
Bake 1 to 1-1/4 hours or until crust is golden brown in a 350 degree oven. Until crust is golden brown (Mine took 1-1/4 hours)
Allow to cool in pan for 10-15 minutes then flip on plate let cool before cutting

  • I don't find dough hard at all.. I have no idea what issues people seem to have with it. I even have a mini apple pie in the oven. Just for one person.

  • @MiFFiL you're so lucky not to be dough challenged ....don't brag!!! lol

  • @PrincessDiana161 I watched Americas Test Kitchen do a Blueberry Pie last night and they showed how to do an easy pie dough, but it includes vodka. Of course most of the alcohol would leave the dough when baking. You should check it out. It really helps people with pie dough.

  • @MiFFiL cool..I'll check it out...thanks!!

  • I LOVE this pie. I fixed it Saturday night, and it was a huge hit. I, too , call myself dough-retarded. I hate working with it, and it never comes out right. I'll be 70 in October and never have gotten the hang of it. I'm a really good cook, but I don't do pie crust. Martha Stewart gets on my last nerve when she just whips that crust out. My daughter does not like pecans, so I used macadamia nuts. Thanks.

  • @mickerin64 I know!! Dough has ALWAYS hated me. Besides the prepared pie crust you can buy now at any market works just as well. Glad you liked it :)

  • You peeled back that paper and I saw that sugar juice seeping down... oh god, my eyes had an orgasm. That looks so delicious! And so easy to make, too! Definitely writing this recipe down. :)

  • dough hates me too

  • This pie is in my over right now. I'm trying out quite a few of your recipes. I like them all.

  • You've got a subbie!
