Carthage Tigers Sweep Back-to-Back Nevada Tournaments

The Carthage Tigers go 3-0 to win the 2009 Nevada Classic, their 2nd in a row. Carthage set a school record for points in a game with 81 on January 31st, as well as a tournament record. They would break that record later in the day by scoring 95 points in their 95-68 title game victory over the Kansas City Southeast African Centered School Scarlet Knights, also breaking the tournament record again. Additionally, the Tigers broke a tournament record for most points in a tournament with 231 overall points. Carthage defeated the Kansas City Imagine Renaissance Academy of Mathematics and Science Panthers and the Kansas City Westport Tigers in round robin play. Carthage is now 14-6 on the year.
