A service of remembrance was held in the old whaler's church at Grytviken, on the sub-Antarctic island of South Georgia, on November 10th 2009. It was led by the chaplain of "HMS Gloucester" with poppy wreaths layed by Commander British Forces South Atlantic Islands Gordon Moulds and by the Captain of "HMS Gloucester".
