  • Doug is the KOM

  • I was on call, just about to have a bit of a relax since me ALS patient was call calm and relaxing.

Then i find out the next day i can have off, just a quick half hour check in on my ALS patient, then just as i was about to leave, get called in, apparently my ALS patient noticed weird behaviour of the next patient in the room.

We did some tests, turns out the intern that let this guy in was a friend- the patient was a hypocondriac suffering from Pulsatile Tinnitus, place in an ER room :/

  • How about this one:

The ER calls and says they have a patient with RUQ pain, elevated LFTs, and a CT that shows a bulging gall bladder. They want me to admit her since I'm on for unassigned, and then consult surgery. What other medical problems does she have? NONE. Why am I even on the case? Because neither the surgeon NOR the GI doc wants to admit and/or do a discharge summary! WHAT A CROCK! I'm on for unassigned and I'm reduced to being a glorified secretary.

  • Nurses do that too.

  • check out placebo journal subscribe, it's a great mag
