In this video message, Dr. Ray Hagins once again talks about the origins of many of the holidays we celebrate and how they have been incorporated in Christianity. Among other things he talks about:

1) the creation of Christmas and how the Bible doesn't speak of the celebration of Christmas.

2) the Bible gives no date as the birth date of Jesus.

3) the celebration of Easter being partly based on the Vernal Equinox.

4) Christmas being based partly on the Winter Solstice.

5) the fallacies of the story of the Wise Men going to see Jesus in Jerusalem, etc. They saw a star in the East (in the Orient where they were) and the Story says they followed the star but they went West (to Jerusalem) on camel back and traveled about 5,000 miles in 2 or 3 days.

6) Pay close attention to his explanation of why African people are not Gentiles from a Biblical point of view. Please review Genesis 10:2 10:6.

Most people don't know it but the Bible actually tells who the Gentiles are and they are not African people.

This video will really make you think and want to do more research.

Also, tune into to Dr. Ray Hagins online radio station at www.WBLR.com. He broadcasts 24/7 and on Sundays and Wednesdays, 8pm-10pm he broadcasts live. He has a ton of information on African history, culture, religion, etc. Everyone can learn from his station regardless of how much you already know.

  • Easter is not in December because the of the spring equinox. At this point of the year, there is more daylight than night, thus the sun has officially risen. Did you ever wonder why Easter is never on the same day.

  • Thank you cdpsr for your comment. What iwas the point that you were trying to make. Easter is a moveable feast because it is based on the Vernal Equinox which marks the 1st day of Spring.

Easter occurs on the 1st Sunday, after the 1st moon following the Vernal Equinox. You can research this theough any Encyclopedia.

  • I have a question Dr. Hagins Correlated Dec22nd(the winter solstice) and the next three days(the three days the sun returns) which ends on the 25th, with the reason Christians Celebrate Christmas on Dec. 25th, but the explanation he gives sounds more closely related to the story of the ressurection (i.e. Easter) and not Christams. So why then wouldnt they make Easter on Dec. 25th?

  • Thank you MsFashunoitall, Dec. 25th marks the day that the amount of Sunlight starts to increase so it marks the rebirth of the Sun. This is why the celebration of Christmas was decreed to be on Dec. 25th at the Council of Nicaea in 325 AD.

  • WHO IS THIS PROUD MAN?????

  • @bornjust2003 AMEN MEANS SO BE IT!!! RA!! STOP MAKING UP STUFF!!

  • The thought no body will ever figure that out. Thanks very much. Your teachings are priceless.

  • The 25th is stated to be the birth of the SUN or SON and you worship the SUN or SON on SUNDAY. That is also why you say AMEN at the end of every prayer Amen RA who is the SYN GOD.

  • When I went to visit my sister in Noraway..I saw lots of posters that referred to the celebration of the Winter Solstice

  • LOL@Get that mess out your house! lol@yule log (whatever the hell that is)

  • I don't see how that would destroy anyone's belief system. What's important is what the celebrations represent, what does it matter if the dates are off?

  • Thats why they go to church on 'SUN'day which interestingly enough, is in complete contradiction with the teachings of the Sabbath which is on (our United States) saturday.

    huh?
