Dr. Mansour Hassab-Elnaby is a Muslim mathematician who claims that the speed of light could accurately be deduced from the information contained in a verse of the Holy Qur'an... He made these calculations and published them. It was also turned into a video.

The aim of this clip is to show how the figures he extracted from the verse are not reconcilable in another verse within the source text. Both verses state entirely different values for the same entity. Dr. Mansour Hassab-Elnaby's calculations have also be been criticized for being inaccurate and self-serving. He has made too many assumptions from a speculative source to deduce the final figure. Depending on the system of measurements, it is easy to come up with calculations that fit post-diction. This practice is known as vaticinium ex event. The following articles give a detailed account of the deception in his calculations:

  • Here a comment which is relevant "These scientific claims said by Muslims all wrong" they are humans, not perfect;everything said by 'em is not accurate, they interpret s.th ,it doesn't mean that it must be" right"_right or wrong it has nothing to do with Islam_as long as it hasn't been said by prophet Mohammed,so it can be refuted..there 're many interpretations for the verses of Qur'an,and there 're many Muslims who declined usin' such things to assure the validity of Qur'an .

  • @sarabella74

In that case you should not have any reason to complain because this video is only aimed at muslims who make such nonsensical claims!

  • @kakamana1000

Yes,but when i put my very beginin' comment,it was a reply to someone here whose comment was irrelevant to the vido too...and i am not complaining by the way

  • @sarabella74

Fair enough! I was mostly unperturbed by your conversation with the other commenter and only interjected when you mentioned me... and please do not take my 'complain' comment in a negative way. You (and everyone else for that matter) are free to comment and debate on my videos.

  • @kakamana1000

    You know something:D

    No,guess first :P

Okay, though the main difference between us but you are diffrent from others i've talked with 'em here..I mean I liked the debate and i confess you are polite in ur critizin' way and in general too :)

Is that weird that i said that?! believe me not cos u are not muslim thats mean i must be rude with u but just am a reaction to others foolishness but when u are polite why shuld i hate or be rude with u ? Thank u :)

  • @sarabella74

Thank you too for not being rude :)

People on both sides (religious and non-religious) are guilty of being rude and abusive in conversations and debates, when such behaviour is an impediment to rational discourse. Having difference of opinions is fine but we should all respect each other as human beings.

Huh? :P

  • @kakamana1000

it doesn't make u sad that ppl choose to be anything!!!! but i do know what hatred and jealousy can do ;))

Who guarantee that u are the right and am the wrong?u see urself the right and u see me the ignorant, and its same here; do u call this toss up evidence! am not 5 by the way ! I understand ur brain well, you just hate s.th and u do ur best to demean it,that's all :)..it will be foolish to believe what u said bout truth and ignorance and such stuff..Play another game :P

  • @sarabella74

...and there in lies the main difference! I I dont ask you to trust or follow me on blind faith like religious people would! I have presented my case with facts and evidence and you are free to verify them if you are so inclined! Whether you choose to do so or not is your prerogative and depends on how much you value truth...

Yes it does make me sad when people choose to be ignorant out of choice... its a sad state of affairs :(
