I tried to melt a black plastic bag that had water in it (lip of a garbage can bag filled up) and after 15 min with 2 friends helping me with several lighters to allow some to cool down, it would not break because the water carried away the heat too fast!  and by the way we were bored waiting for our college classes to start and I was hanging out with physics majors, we were stunned at all the abuse it took and never got even warm. not just teenagers being dumb

I have tested with a balloon (I am not sure of the english word) and it has not pops even with fire "touching" it. Why ? The water inside the balloon absorbs the energy ! I think it would be the same with the condom... For information, if you need hot water, remember that !

(The experience is easy to do. Of course, it will fail if you use air instead of water.)
