@projectionman Did you make a career as a movie theater projectionist? You can make a living off of it? Or did you have a side job, too.

@projectionman Quite good cooment and i support your point of view, Cinema is Cinema 24 fps, and digital cinema is video projected

The only problem is it's digital "VIDEO" projection! It's interesting how that word is always ommited from advertisments and articles. Does the industry not want audiences to realize they are basically getting the same experience watching their 42"+ HD flatscreen TVs? Of course not!

This was an interesting video. I made a YouTube video about my experience working with digital cinema. Please take a look. Here's the tail-end of the link... /watch?v=pXP8bjblRKw

@projectionman I used to work in a theater that had both digital and film side by side, and the comparison was unmistakable, the film was just terrible. The sound quality was nasty, the screen had tears constantly, and not to mention that is required 100 times more work to use a tape projector. Sure you wouldn't notice if you are a customer, but by comparing these 2 side by side, it's unmistakable, digital is the only viable path for the future of cinema.

I think the start sums it all up!!!!

A professional video for a professional set-up. Brilliant!
sorry but.. as a 20 years experience of professional projection i must say that FILM IS BETTER,digital sucks..is cold and never will have the texture of the film..the worse of all is that digital try to emulates film so is a sillyness..if you want real film look use film and thats alll,is a shame that only a litle bit part of the industry as Steven Spielbers dare to say the truth about this as i do.35mm fil is real cinema digital is tv or video projected NOT CINEMA
