Obama tells the American Legion that he is going to charge wounded troops for treatment. You send these brave souls into battle, then screw them when they get their arms and legs blown off by terrorists?! This is supposed to be our fricking COMMANDER-IN-CHIEF? Plus he is cutting back on military funding, closing Gitmo and releasing the terrorists to attack us again. Not only is he openly hostile to the business community, he is openly hostile to the military. While I disagree with Bush's economic policy, he at least stopped any attacks on American soil for the last 8 years. I bet we won't be so lucky under Obama.

It wasn't hard to tell where Obama stood prior to the election. When Michelle said, "some people will have to learn to give up some of their pie so others can have some more." I took her serious. When Rev. Wright talked about blow back I knew Obama thought the same way. William Ayers teaches social justice and it's obvious birds of the feather flock together. Before people vote they should read the writing on the wall.

It's good that we have a system in place to give people a helping hand. But it's supposed to be used to get people back on their feet. Not to subsidize laziness. As to your other point, we didn't get ourselves into a bad situation, the US government put us there. We fulfilled our duty to you. Is it unfair that you should have to pay for my prosthesis? And considering that a woman with 6 kids who hasn't worked in a decade is valued more than a veteran, maybe I shouldn't have.

Sorry. Your sarcasm didn't translate too well. I'm not against helping our poor and needy. Everyone needs a helping hand now and then. But I think when you have multiple generations living off welfare, there's a problem. I see families wearing designer clothes paying with foodstamps at the supermarket and eating better than I do. I have people coming in to where I work who will fill out an application, only so that I'll sign their "Looking for work" voucher with no intention of taking a job.

That wasn't what I was trying to get across here. I was being sarcastic. Every government should provide well for their veterans and soldiers. But it's also the same soldiers and veterans who are first to criticize any type of government aid that is given to it's poor, needy, and less fortunate. Complaining, saying it's the peoples fault for getting themselves into that situation. Well from this standpoint you can look at the veterans and say the same thing. Maybe you shouldn't have joined.

If you think not paying for wounded veterans health care needs is a rational idea, you truly need to re-evaluate your stance on the subject. Your government trained me to fight. Your elected officials sent me to a country I didn't care about to fight. I fulfilled my part of the deal. Now it's your turn. If you don't like it, disband the military and fend for yourself.

No one forced them to join and fight. Especially, since Veterans are the first people to criticize anyone who gets any type of government help. So yea If they don't like it well guess what? This isn't Communism we will not pay for your legs and arms.

The death ratio is 1:100 Americans vs Iraqis anyway. So to lose a limb over all the lives you've taken is a fair trade.
