Nothing more beautiful than the killer whale up close- As I stuck my hand into the tank to get the best closeup I was getting yelled at by the park security. I had to keep the video rolling though so you guys could see this Orca in action.

  • wow if i were ther i would try to touch the whale!. I still think its cruel how they keep them in tanks like this though..

  • i agree- they should let them go

  • "Nothing more beautiful " i think seeing an orca in the wild, free to swim where ever he pleases, free to be with his family for always, able to live the way he chooses is alot more beautiful ..

poor lolita .. there is nothing beautiful about captivity :(

  • I don't know if I'd call this showing her "in action". She's more in "inaction", as she usually is, since her tank is way too small for her to be in "action", and on top of that she shares it with (is it 8 now?) pacific whitesided dolphins

  • Whoa she was pretty interested in you. Toki goes to the edge of her tank often and there are tons of photos and videos of her just looking at all the people. But it's a possibility you could have dropped your camera into the tank, and that's why you got scolded. Lol. A foriegn object could easily be removed but not before Toki or the lags get to it. =P

  • FREE THE WHALES! wat does it feel like if u humans get locked in a cage

  • You cannot release her, for two reasons, her pod may not accept her back in, which if they do not she will not survive. What we could do is put her in a bigger tank with more of her kind.

  • PRISON.....

  • @Jackthepig If you release a captive bred Orca into the wild, they will die within a matter of weeks. They won't survive. Oh, and fyi, Orcas aren't whales, they're actually dolphins. They are only called "killer whales" because wild orcas kill whales for food.

  • Lolita she is amazing one of the best orcas ever, she should be with her mother Ocean sun in the wild not in a tank she can barley move in :(

  • I have actually pet one before ..and other people were in line to and they also pet the orca. . i pet it at some marine park when i was young i forget what one :( but i think all marine parks now have "banned" people from petting orcas. . it was amazing they felt soo cool though!

  • Could I use this in a video I'm making?

  • I'm not normally anti-captivity but Lolita needs to at least be moved to a bigger tank or set free poor girl.

  • 5 pacific white-sided dolphins live with lolita currently, not 8.
