@MrSeeadler2 Please check facts before you label anything or anyone. The Nazi U-boats were sinking American ships and killing Americans all along the Atlantic coast BEFORE we entereed the war and were still a "neutral" country.Even today some types of submarines are known as "hunters and killers". Of course there is an element of "propaganda" when analyzing a martial action from one point of view or another. We were attacked in the Pacific and were then defending ourselvers, Quite different.

This is pure propaganda! German submarines sinking merchantmen in the Atlantic are "killers and pirates". U.S. submarines sinking merchantmen in the Pacific are heroes and the "good guys". Btw: because the U.S. did the same in the Pacific what the Germans did in the Atlantic, they could not blame the old Nazi Doenitz in Nuremberg for his U-boat war.
