Simply put, the NHL needs to divorce VS and reunite with ESPN.

To young to truly remember NHL on ESPN, all I can remember is Shawn Bates' penalty shot goal in the 2001-2002 playoffs

now that versus has merged with NBC to become NBC sports maybe ESPN can sign a contract to show NHL games on ESPN. Show College basketball on ESPN 2 while nba is on abc espn and when baseball begins then show baseball on espn 2 and/or espn abc. That way we get our 3 hours of hockey coverage on Sunday/Saturday, Tuesday, and Thursday while NBC/ NBC sports shows hockey on Saturday/Sunday, Monday, Wensday, and Friday. THUUUUUUMBS UUUUPPPP FOR HOCKEY ON ESPNNNNN!
