Random pole tricks AND you'll be that much smarter!

I wanted to talk about more stuff... but all I got in was the monosynaptic reflex arc and sliding filament theory. And I forgot to mention that even though I talked about the knee jerk reflex (in very simple terms), this type of reflex applies to other parts of your body like your torso as well.

  • great job, i thought it was put together and presented very well.. is that you in the pole clips?? great vid..!

  • Thanks! Yeah, that's me in the pole clips... I'm sad now though cuz I moved apartments and no longer have the correct ceiling height for my pole!

  • Cool... What about interneurons though?

  • Yeah, I didn't want to go into that. Of course a lot of skeletal muscle reflexes can be mediated in the brain, and many loops contain interneurons. Also to correct myself, an action potential in a stretch receptor doesn't correspond 1:1 with an action potential in a motor neuron. BUT an ap in a motor neuron does respond 1:1 with a muscle twitch!

  • Seshy!

  • Goddamn! My dumb nigger ass can't undustand dat fo shit! u sho look mad sexy on dat pole tho!!

  • Stable isn't always sexy. Many people purposely look for unstable as there is a greater likelihood of an "action potential".
