@TBIES71 The original comic story wasn't like this at all. This show re-conceptualized the entire symbiote story into what we know it as today. They did to the symbiote story what Batman TAS did to Mr Freeze.

It's the only punch he throws, ever, in this series.

I *love* how Venom could have killed Spiderman(Peter) at any point during the episode but doesn't.

His objective was causing torment, making him agonize over the constant threat of Venom to -every- aspect of his life, making him feel completely powerless and vulnerable. THIS is what was missing in Spiderman 3.

The first Minute, Twenty Five of this video hit me with nostalgia SO HARD... the opening was also used as the trailer for the original "Venom Saga" VHS on the HobGoblin VHS tape.
