This is a video response to myargonauts' video your first month in the JET Program. As an ALT who works for a company other than JET, I can tell you there are many differences in how the programs are ran, and starting up can be like night and day depending on your situation. I hope this sheds some on light on some things you might run into should you not come to work in Japan through the JET program.

  • @shironbo7441 Oh man you did a fine job of making yourself look like an ignorant and racist idiot. Thankfully most of your fellow countrymen are nothing like you. No one group of people is the same..everyone is different. Didn't you learn that in elementary school? I almost feel bad for you if your view of the world is this messed up. あ、それとも、教師の面教があると日本語が書けると読めると話せるで。俺の学校の生徒達が俺のことが好き。Not all foreigners are bad people. 馬鹿。

  • @shironbo7441 Oh please. In the USA, it is not difficult to find a job if you have a degree. The reason foreigners travel to Japan, put up with a bunch of BS, and settle with earning half of what they could in their own country, is because they want to to visit and experience a different country and/or because they love teaching.

  • @shironbo7441 Furthermore, I work hard to understand our cultural differences. There are things I think Japan does better, and there are things I think the US does better. I don't believe one is superior to the other, and I certainly don't have any anti-Japanese sentiment. Nearly every 外国人 I know is here because they respect and enjoy Japan, and because they are qualified.

Also, calling an entire group of people "barbarians" is extremely racially prejudiced. Please reflect on your hatred.

  • @shironbo7441 Why is "native" in quotation marks? If someone's L1 is English, he or she absolutely, unquestionably, is a native speaker. I hope that you come to see foreigners more positively. While I understand that you may find the more immature, irresponsible ALTs and foreigners frustrating, we are not a monolith. I had a job in the US, but I wanted to see more of Japan and wanted to share my love of languages with Japanese students, so I put great effort into getting a position here.

  • What was the company you quit? Avoid this one called OWLS in Kitakyushu, horid even by dispatch company standards.

  • What is key money? Like a security deposit?

  • :l Shinronbo, these people are trying their best to educate other people on a very complicated language.

    Haters gonna hate.

  • @shironbo7441 確かに不適格教員が多いですが、素晴らしい先生もいます。シロンボの気持ち分かるですけど違う観点を取り入れてください。I think your view point is skewed. You only have experience with foreigners who are one way. You need to meet other foreigners who are living the way they should in Japan, with respect.
