  • would you recommend learning from the hang? is this the safest way to get the mechanics right?? I have been an athlete all my life but am new to olympic syle lifting.

  • @chazhuber if you are new to olympic lifting I would recommend finding a USAW certified coach to learn from. The safest way to start olympic lifting is to be sure you can hinge at your hips, front squat and have adequate hip extension ability and core stability going into learning the movements. Then begin learning with an unloaded bar first from the power position, then different hang positions and then finally moving to the floor, all with minimal loading until skill and technique are good.

  • Great cleans, very strong. You show such great technique in all your vids on so many different lifts/exercises, & you seem like an awesome coach, really nice to see

  • @strengthworks1 - Thanks so much for that comment! I think that is the single nicest comment I have ever received on any social network sight ever. I really do appreciate that!
