  • Little Bird is the second "Lille" of Lisa Hannigan.

  • @wslyvl actually I think it would be Knots. It's true that Little Bird is closer to Lille than Knots but Knots is definitely the most played song now...:)

  • @lisasfanno1 Good argument and expressive. Is really good discuss with a real fan of Lisa, I finally found somebody to do this my friend.

I agree by the most played. But i me feel listening Lille when I hear Little Bird, sorry, it's what me, as a stranger, not an Irish, feel when encounter with the universe of Lisa Hannigan.

  • @wslyvl it' because Lille and Little Bird are both the most honest tunes on the albums. they seem to be the complete opposites to each other. Lille's got chilling melody but the lyrics are sad whereas Little Bird is about breaking free from something, it's not supposed to be sad but it sounds so...she really needed to get all the stuff out of her...ya, let's discuss more! :)

  • @lisasfanno1 Aye, these two songs talk about broken circles, of something, and a infinite solution or not, it is very philosophic. Lisa has a lot of feelings on the spherical plane, as i see "she really needed to get all the stuff out of her" GRAND. :)... I learned to play these two songs on classical guitar, i love play them...

  • @wslyvl Me too! I learnt to play almost everything (by ear or by watching what she was doing) including knots on my uke. I can't really figure out how to play What'll I Do and A Sail or Keep It All (ya i made up some chords but I want it to sound right). I'm trying Flowers now :) I've been playing Lille for years almost every day. And Little Bird has been following since the release :D...I feel like a psycho :D

  • @wslyvl speaking of breaking free from smt...i love the fact that when Damo kicked her outta the band she wrote a song with lyrics like: "i'm lookin forward to singing alone!" (it's my pirate disco)
