Phil was my music soulmate. I even forgave him being a Red to my Blue. I listened to GEE from episode 1 and gave up music radio altogether when it ended. I phoned Phil during a GEE in the early 80s and he called me back with details of a Genesis tour. He chatted for nearly 20 mins. In 1985 I was listening to my car radio when he played Brothers In Arms for the first time. There has still been no show to match GEE and Phil was tops until the end. Therell never be another like him. RIP.
BTW... Who could forget the 'welcome' he would get EVERYTIME he came onstage with the words 'Good Evening, Southport!' Lol! Happy, happy times!! Missing you already, Phil...
Still missed.
