liviuarh, I'm Paul Glickman the creator of the Calypso Singer. I was happy to see it on the internet, but as you must know it's a copy shot from a 16mm projection. It's a shadow of it's real look and sound. But you've inspired me. I am going to go back to the 35mm master and try to do a top notch HD version. I'll let you know when I've posted it (probably months from now) But I hope at that time you'll withdraw your posting so the clean version gets to be seen and I, the creator, get the credit.

I grew up with Day-O not only from this and Beetlejuice, but from Sebastian the Crab's Carribean Jamboree, Muppets, and Kidsongs. Too bad they can't make songs like this anymore. We unfortunately have to live with torture in music Lady Gaga, Katy perry, Ke$ha, Eminem, Bieber, LMFAO, Rihanna, Nicki Minaj, Lil Wayne, Wiz Khalifa, Kid Cudi, Adele, and Maroon 5. This is real music.

I love this! I remember Stan Freberg from when I was a kid too. I liked him then, but listening to him now, I find him strident. The animation softens that. By putting him visually right into the song, he is made an insider.

Isn't it lucky Mr. Glickman was watching YouTube.
