  • Fine work and great efficiency. Is that a 365 pfd variable cap like in the older

tube type AM radios? I remember those. Can you refer me to s schematic so I can make this little gem? thanks much

  • @jackscholze

The variable capacitor is 450 pf.

The circuit is like the basic exciter circuit but the L1 coil is only six turns. And the top of the L1 coil goes through the capacitor to the emitter.

You may want to add a diode from the emitter to the base also.

  • Wow, that's a lot of light!

Did you say drawing over 1 milliamp?

  • @PoirierMike

    Yes, 1.16mA

  • @GBluer Thats good news. It's a real advancement for such a simple circuit. Dr. Stiffler's latest circuit draws microamps but involves much more parts and requires more understanding. This community is doing great progress. Thanks for freely sharing.

  • should last a long time on that bat at that draw :)

  • great work still gb:)
