At Israel's Ben Gurion airport the Magshoe step on scanner has been introduced sparing travellers the nuisance of removing their shoes. The scanner takes about two seconds to determine whether a passenger's footwear contains a suspicious object.Magshoe manufacturers say the scanner is operating in 18 countries around the world but if it receives approval for international airport use millions of passengers could be spared the time consuming nuisance of removing their shoes en route to catch their flights.10/15/08
