Turkey Hunting and the Cops

Nice turkey hunt out back behind farmer Joe's turned ugly when a lady down the street didn't like the sound of gun shots. She called the cops and the farmer/landowner (shown in video) tried telling the officer that the boys had permission, but he didn't want to hear it.

I'm not posting this video to show the greatest turkey hunt ever or to portray new york's finest in a bad way, i just thought it was hilarious and wanted to share it with some others who might enjoy as well.

Town Police call:

caller: "There's these guys walking into the woods with guns, i don't know what they're gonna do"

Officer: "Were they wearing camo and orange sir?"

caller: "Yes and they were carrying big guns"

Officer: "When did you move here sir?"

caller: "About a month ago from Queens why?"

Officer: "Right... let me explain something to you we have this thing called hunting season around here. your gonna hear some gunshots at some point today don't panic they're just harvesting some game."

dude, ok im usually all for cops and shit, hell im gonna be one, but that was just plain ignorant when he said "you hunters dont care for other people's property" and ya know what, if they were on the guys land and he said they have permission, theres nothing the trooper can do, thats the problem actually, hes a state trooper, they always have a bigger ego than cops.

This cop is kind of a dick. Should NOT speak to minors in that manner, if they are not swearing at him first. Kinda rude. I feel that being a cops wife, I can say this is a POOR example of how cops behave.. he should be ashamed.

Unfortunately some hunters make us all look bad, and some Troopers make us all look bad. He is clearly clueless, and "born yesterday" because I don't know any land owners who will stick up for hunters that they didn't give permission too.  You guys are making some awesome videos! Keep em coming.

i agree, we get it from time to time.. we don't have troopers here in canada, but still have our cops etc.. alot of the time they think us hunters don't know the laws and the TPA ( Tresspass to Property Act), they can't charge you with trespassing if the property isn't posted, also with the landowner there admitting they have permission, this trooper has ZERO to go on.. he's just being an ass..

@buckluck9pt In fact the owner never put up posted signs which was the one reason I got confused. He was just a fucked up!!! The trooper here reminds me of him a lot.

@buckluck9pt Hey. To be honest I had an experience that was a little bit different than this one. It was on opening day in 2010 deer gun season. I thought I was hunting the right land but I ended up too far and the person who actually owned the property came up and was quite a chuckoo. He actually called the Sheriff and the Sheriff was a really nice guy who was trying to cool him down and he understood that I made a mistake and he gave a warning. Now that is a perfect officer. But not this one.
