A recording of the Standing in Motion beam show that comes with Pangolin's LD-2000 package. Running on a 500 mw solid state RGB projector, displayed on a scrim.

I should point out that I'm not the one who made this show. It's one of the ones that come with the Pangolin LD-2000 controller. So I'm not the "master" that created it. (Though I did build the laser projector that it's running on!)
This show is even more impressive in real life. The video doesn't begin to capture how beautiful the beams really are.

Yes. The scrim is actually made from mosquito netting. (Well, it's the fine-mesh "no-see-um" netting, but it's basically the same thing.) You can get it really cheap at skeeta (dot) com. They even do custom sewing. Have them make you a 9 ft wide by 10 ft tall section, and ask them to sew a 3 inch pocket into the top for a support rod and another at the bottom for a tension bar. Then hang it from PVC pipe and put another pipe on the bottom to hold it straight. Works wonders, for just $40!
