The time has come to write love on your arms. Too often, people don't know that rescue is a phone call away.

The website is twolha.com

We feel braver when a whole group of people do what we're doing. My challenge to you is if you see this on the 14th or later, write love on your arm anyway. And when someone asks you why you have "Love" scrawled across your forearm, you may be saving their life.

  • Where was God when she was slicing up her arms eh?

Oh yeah, that's right... if he's almighty... he must have been there, egging her on.

  • Katie, you seem like a very sad person. I won't apologize for some girl cutting herself. I think there's a problem when you focus on the cutting instead of the beautiful things that followed.

  • No one asked you to apologize.

But the cutting IS real... to avoid seeing the issue would just be denial or an attempt to cover-up.

So, again, where was God when she was cutting herself?

  • yeah, as a youth pastor, I dealt with situations like that quite often. Sadly, it is real and I want to bring awareness to the fact that there is help out there and they are not alone

  • Hey dude! Glad you took part in the movement! I did as well, with a few friends of mine. We all wrote "LOVE" on our wrists and took pictures of it. Thanks again for weighing in!

  • thank you! this movement wouldn't be possible without individual effort from people like us!

    thanks for watching!

  • VenomFangX once said God lets us do as we please because he loves us and wants us to love him back freely as forced love is not love but rape.

More traditional, St. Thomas Aquinas said "God answers all prayers, but not necessarily in the way we want him to."

However, God was there for her. He gave her the strength and opportunity to get treatment. Seizing the moment, that's what she did. You have to realize God isn't some fairy that can grant our wishes. He merely makes the chance possible.

  • God is omnipresent and everywhere. However, as human beings whom he loves, we were granted free will allowing us to do as we please. While it may sound ironic, strange, and sick, God's allowance of self mutilation is both an example of God's love to let us do as we please and our rejection of that love by hurting ourselves. Those who blame God and say why he does not do anything are idealistic (while honorable) fools who have misconceptions about God.

  • thank you, sir

  • true enough, well played
