The mess hall was instantly silent. Nobody knew what to think. Tess stood up and said “Good. She listened.” Caitlyn stood there, mouth hanging open, and shook her head at the blonde. She muttered forget you and ran swiftly into the kitchen, startling the staff. She repeated her urgent message and handed Connie the note. Connie read it over before bursting into tears. Brown entered the kitchen and saw the commotion.
Brown: What’s going on.
Caitlyn: Mitchie is missing. She left a note saying she ran away.
Brown: okay. She couldn’t have gotten too far ahead. *walks into the mess hall* Campers we have an emergency.
The mess hall went silent.
Brown: We have a camper missing. Has anyone seen Mitchie Torres?
Lola: I saw her about a half hour ago.
Brown: Where was she heading?
Lola: into the woods.
Shane sat silent. She was missing? Why would she run? Probably because she had been caught in her lie. Even if she was, she shouldn’t be out there alone in the woods. He thought to himself. Its dangerous.
Shane: I’m going out to find her. Who is coming with me.
Caitlyn raised her hand before walking over. Lola, Barron, and Sander followed suit. Shane started to walk out the door when Brown stopped him.
Brown: She may not go willingly. Use the trick where you coax her or tempt her with food or water, slip a blind fold over her eyes, and tie a rope around her wrist.
Shane: What good would that do?
Brown: If you don’t try anything funny when your lure her over you might gain her trust. Once she is blindfolded and tied she has to follow you. She won’t know where to run or where she is going. Just get on her good side then take care of it from there. *hands him bread, butter (like those little packetd ones, a bandana, and rope*
Shane: *nods*
Brown: It might take a while so just be patient.
Shane: Alright lets go. *walks out with the others following*
Shane looked at the bandana. He would feel bad about forcing her into this. But if he had to, he would. It would be for her own good.

*with Mitchie*

Mitchie looked around. Trees. That’s all she saw. She walked on and sighed. This would be a long month. She had no way to entertain herself. She walked on. And on. And on as the hours ticked by. Finally she reached a clearing filled with deer. They looked at her, trying to figure if she was a threat or not. The buck walked over to her, sniffing at her hand. He walked around her in a circle as she stood still. He decided she wasn’t so walked back to his herd. Mitchie walked over to the middle of the clearing where no deer were. She grabbed the tent and tried to figure out how to set it up. She read the instructions and attempted. She was surprising successful and smiled at her work. She wheeled her wagon into the tent. She placed her sleeping bag up against the far side of the tent she placed a pillow at the top of the sleeping bag. She placed the extra blankets on the foot of the tent. She put the matches and the bug spray cans in a corner. She left the rain cover in the wagon and placed that by the door to the tent. She felt a pang in her stomach and realized she hadn’t eaten since breakfast. She opened the handkerchief and realized that she couldn’t live off of this for a month. It wouldn’t last. She grabbed a piece of bread and took a small nibble. She swallowed and took another bite. She looked down at the bread and grabbed a piece of cheese, praying that it would help the taste become better. She took another nibble and it did so she quickly devoured it, only to sigh once it was gone. She grabbed a cookie and ate that to. She snuggled under the sleeping bag. She was okay for now, but didn’t know how long she could survive.
