SC's new photo ID law kills woman's vote

Delores Freelon will not be able to vote in the next election because she can't meet the requirements of the new photo ID law in time. Technically, the constitution doesn't even say YOU have a right to vote. It only states how the voter cannot be discriminated against. It never says who the voter is.

That's awful, Delores. The new law is ridiculous...but you can vote absentee. You should be able to vote in-person, but you don't need an ID to vote absentee -- which is part of the reason these laws are absurd.

I am not on welfare and I have always voted when I lived in California, Arkansas, Louisiana and Texas states that I previously live and never had a problem with my birth certificate until I moved to South Carolina. I do abide by the law but why not accept an active driver's license from another state without having to produce a birth certificate.

Go to California ,New York  or Illinois. They don't require anything to vote....you can even be dead....they don't care.

You should have thought about fixing that problem a little earlier. Sounds to me like Im paying your welfare for you and your kids with all of those government I'D's. Guess you cant vote for Obama to steal my money this year.

Know what else that license won't let you do? Drive a car in South Carolina after 90 days. Best get an SC license.
