The woman performs abysmally. A strong argument in the woman's position would be that the ISP's want to take away "rights", something that this country, in a large sense, has had a difficult time doing (the rights taken away by amendments have been the "right" to own slaves, and the right to drink). Kellerman does a good a job with such horrific material to work against, and the Gates point is valid as it adequately describes the position of the ISPs-they want more $ from their investment.
@raininginhell I find it strange that when Net Neutrality is in favor, Google loves it, yeah, Google is totally into Net Neutrality they're "the good guys". And then when it's in doubt, Google and Comcast file lawsuits challeging it.
@calapanpo You don't have to purchase from those companies either. Your voice in this is your purchasing power. Besides don't you find it odd that everyone is worried about this because of a Google//Verizon partnership that would "slow" down the internet. Yet Google has put in alot of money to lobby for Net Neutrality..? You have no idea how much paperwork this is going to put on ISP's who in turn are going to roll the costs on to you the consumer.
Ok, most people here think that government regulation is a good thing. Why is it ok for the government to put their controls on EVERYTHING. It is the most direct path to tyranny. Leave the free market free! If you don't like your provider then switch to one of the smaller ISP's. Using the government as a tool to keep you safe from the free market will only result in your loss of freedom. The gov. wants a foothold to start even more internet regulation. Don't follow like sheep.
The ISP's spent the money to lay the cable and build the infrastructure and keep it maintained. However we want the government (who fails at every project they manage) to come in and regulate ISP's and tell them hey you can't manage your own network by imposing QoS. (Which most are already not doing) Because we the government know better than you! How do you think the FCC is going to impose this regulation? By just putting their ear to the wire? No they are going to do it with tons of paperwork!
@BigMTBrain I could have worded my post a little different to be more clear. Net neutrality is just a term for regulation of the internet. If you are pro net neutrality you want to keep the internet basically as it is now. If you are against Net Neutrality you want ISP's to spoon feed you internet content, block content they do not condone, charge extra for access to other networks... In other words it's a big money grabbing scam.
@Freenetnow - Yes, a terrible segment, but nek0s's understanding of Net Neutrality is completely opposite to what it actually is. Read my comment to him, then, if you really want to know what Net Neutrality is, read the Wikpedia "Net Neutrality" article, paying good attention to the opinions of both the opponents and proponents of Net Neutrality. For me, specifically because in fact it is OPPOSITE to nek0s's understanding, Net Neutrality is a good thing.
i cant stand CNN news they just are so annoying!

@raininginhell
Why is it okay for big buisness to control EVERYTHING? They don't want what's best for you, they want profits.
Which means slowing down or blocking any and all competition. Net Neutrality puts everyone on equal footing.
