This song makes of the people who hold stereotypes. So in their way(boxes), to afraid to come out. They just need to open their boxes up and let the knowledge flow into them. Then maybe this world would be a better place for you and me.

@tosikuai I think it's about people who close their minds and stop learning and growing. They miss out on the beauty of the world and the teaching of the wise man because they'd rather hold on to what's safe and familiar; they can't accept that there is anything else worthwhile out there.

@tosikuai I don't think the song is literal. I guess you can interpret the way you want. I understand this song as a prophet who was sent to these people. The people hide themselves away, shunning the prophet because perhaps they were afraid to learn. In the end, someone believes in the prophet. That's how I understood the song. But it seems like it could be interpreted in several ways. :)

@jollierancher123 I've always thought it's about acceptance. Their box being their mind, which would not accept any help from anybody to guide them a set path. I think it has got a fantastic moral within it regardless of religion, since I'm not particularly religious, yet I always come to this song.
