Folks, on request a quick demo of these 3 horns on my website www.vintagesaxophones.com.au
These are all for sale, so if interested do contact me via my website. I am using a LT Guardala Studio model gold plate on the demo for all 3 horns.

  • meant to say... the horn itself is definitely not stuffy....in my opinion...

  • Thanks for posting Ari! They are all great horns and you sound great one all. The '59 MKVI seems the "sweetest", esp. on the ballad, but maybe a little stuffy on that mpc v. the '70 horn, which has the bigger sound - a great R&B horn. The '52 SBA seems the best all around axe here - very round sound. Nice job !

  • Yep.. i think the reed is settling in a bit more towards the end of the clip.. Anyhow, the horn itself is definitely not stuff.. probably just me.. They are all great horns in their own right.. The 59 altissimo and harmonics feel a bit easier to me.. Anyhow, they are all excellent..

How do you finger the really high F# at 0:36, 2:04 and 3:16? I know there are several fingerings, but can't seem to find a solid, in-tune one on my horn.

  • Hi!

    Just great! :)

What kind of reed do you use?

    Thanks!

  • My gosh this the best horn....

  • Wow you get to test different saxophones all day. I want that job!!!
