The dog is showing very nice instinct. Herding breeds do not all work the same: a Border Collie, Aussie, GSD, Bouvier ... all has their distinct style. GSDs do beautifully, I wish more owners would take their's herding. Good Luck, Rebel!!

Very nice job. I am just beginning herding with my GSDs and just posted videos here on YouTube of our first time in the pen. We've competed in AKC Obedience, Rally Obedience and in Schutzhund, but this herding is new and seems to be great fun.
