Ironic that according to Errey and Steigy, this is a clean hit, but the Ovechkin hit was filthy. Got to call it both ways, fellas.

Yeah, but if you pause at :32, you see that his shoulder makes contact with Bogosian. At no point did Ovechkin's shoulder touch Gonchar.

Cooke is the biggest pussy in hockey. Knee hits, head shots etc. The thing that pissed me off the most is he won't fight once someone confronts him about it. Watch the last sens/pens game would not fight Donovan after almost ending his career with a dirty knee shot. At least cheap players like Kaleta actually will drop the gloves. Cooke is a coward and pussy not to mention a terrible hockey player.

@stevieray351 if I were a Bruins fan I def would hate him too.I don't think he intentionally wanted to hurt Savard though.I think he def wanted to hit him,but not in the head.Didn't Savards head kind of drop at the last sec?

@bern1417 i really like shero im sure he will...obviously ur a pens fan, im a bruins fan, so i have a very good reason to dislike cooke, but even if the savard hit never happened i would still say cooke is bad for your team...he not only puts a target on his own back, but he puts one on staal, neal, letang, and maybe reason to run fleury by other teams when he pulls his antics

@stevieray351 If we make it to rd 2 he comes back.If he plays well,I think he'll be hear next season.I have a feeling he'll be on a short leash.If we have the room for kennedy(he'll be getting a nice raise,coming off a career year) Staal,Cooke,Kennedy made up the best 3rd line in 09 and 10.Plus Cooke's PK skill's put Shero in a fucked up situation.Shero's probably the most underrated GM in the NHL.He's done nothing but great things in the last 5yrs.I'm sure he'll do the right thing.

@bern1417 if i were pittsburghs gm shero, my first priority in the offseason would be get rid of cooke by any means necessary. he has been a huge distraction for a team that has enough to worry about as it is. cooke can really make an entire organization look bad by himself...i looked early i was curious , he signed a 3 yr/ 5.4M dollar deal last summer, be a FA in 2013 unfortunately for the pens
