This year's "2D OR NOT 2D Animation Festival" in Seattle on December 15th (www.2dornot2d.org) is shaping-up to be the best yet. Generously sponsored by "DigiPen Institute of Technology" (www.digipen.edu) and "Pacific Science Center" (www.pacsci.org) the event will feature films from around the world, all competing for the festival's coveted "Golden Pencil Awards". In addition there will be a full screening of Nina Paley's acclaimed film "Sita Sings the Blues" as well as a Seattle premiere of the breathtaking, award-winning European movie, "Secret of Kells". (Director Tomm Moore and art director Ross Stewart will be presenting their film person and meeting with festival audiences throughout the event). To provide a brief taste of what is to come, festival director Tony White (blog.animaticus.com) presents this brief trailer for the event. The "2D OR NOT 2D Animation Festival" is hosted by the Animaticus Foundation (www.animaticus.com), the mission of which is to preserve, teach and evolve the art of traditional, hand-drawn animation in this digital age.
I will keep an eye of it. Every possibility is useful ;-)

@DreamSerumProd Yep, its better than ever! The festival is to be held at the Eames IMAX Theater, Pacific Science Center, Seattle on January 22nd, 2011. This time the featured guests will be animator/directors Paul & Sandra Fierlinger and Hollywood Producer, Max Howard. There's a new competition category for 'Game Cinematics' too. So its all quite exciting.

great news.....Princess and the Frog is returned with 2d animation. I know it grossed about 200 million dollars worldwide(it wasn't successful what Disney hoped) but there's going to be a new Winnie the pooh film in 2d animation in 2011
