  • @Musicmany2k It means the 'foundling', an abandoned child, which refers to a chapter in its history.

  • Not a bit like most Gasparini's in sound, but still very good. Thanks, Stuart.

  • The organ was built by Jan Gillet in the 1950s from earlier Gasparini and Limonaire organs adding Bourdon Celeste and to a new scale typical of Dutch Street Organs of the period. The french bellows are a little small for the present scale, but O.K.

  • The facade is exactly copied from the Gasparini organ in 'Museum van Speelklok tot Pierement' in Utrecht. However, the sound is completely different: far more sophisticated. The Gasparini in Utrecht only plays loudly! I am amazed by the speed the of the wheel in the first slow piece of music!
