Doesn't the British government have a duty to provide the best environment possible for it's citizens? Since when is immigration a right? If you let too many poor people in from the third world, they get stuffed into ghettos, encourages crime because crime is an economic thing not a racial thing. Why should the citizens of England or any other country pay their hard earned money in taxes so someone from another country can try to make a better life for themselves?

Lets also be very clear, the ONLY reason why countries allow a lot of immigrants both legal and illegal is for a supply of cheap labor. The industrialists are exploiting them at the cost of the native citizens of that country. SO a few people get to fill their pockets and millions of citizens of that country get shafted.

@lee250893 Well you are operating under the misguided assumption that the world is a fair place when in fact the world is a really crappy place. Right? is it right to expect the people of your country to accept the social, financial burdens of accepting tons of immigrants? So I disagree, if people are facing persecution in their home country, let them stay there and fight for change.

@CRAZYHORSE19682003 becasue if someone is going to be killed because of their religion, starvation or because they are gay in their home country, although it may not be good economically, surley its the right thing to do letting them find asylum?
