  • Im no expert BUT bach didnt even think about TEMPOS so it doesnt matter how fast you play it it matters HOW you play it. So there is no REAL tempo. You could play it much slower, or much faster.

Anyways. The only thing i have to say is that that last mordent IS AWFUL. WTF why? It sounds out of place

  • Why do I hear "pedaling" from ANY piece by J.S. Bach??

  • świetny utwór:) Bach moim Idolem..

  • @vahagnvardanyan pedaling on Bach is not Bach! It's just you!

  • @vahagnvardanyan what??? pedaling this piece is normale??? are kidding me?

  • @careyeOhkey Pedaling in THIS piece is normal - it was written for the lute and has a single voice. But NEVER pedal thhe Wohltempier klavier, it's against the traditions.

  • @drakkor2157 haha no you clearly are not an expert... lol

  • @arr4gtr Sheet music is only a how to guide on how to perform music. It is not a recording, it must be interpreted by the performer, and that, I believe, is the beauty of being a music performer. So tempi can vary, according to the sensibilities of the performer. His mordent at the end is STILL disgusting though haha

  • @arr4gtr I posted this a long long time ago. I have learned much since. What I meant wasn't precisely that Bach did not think of tempos. What I wanted to say is that the Tempo markings in that time were a lot less precise than they are now, based more in the speed of dances. This, being a prelude specially, has no definite tempo. Of course Bach THOUGHT of tempo. But I believe that, specially for Bach pieces, the tempo is left to be interpreted by the interpreter, in this case, the musician.

  • @drakkor2157 you should check out BachScholar's channel on YT. He has a lot to say about tempo in the music of Bach. I think this piece works at a variety of tempos and cubusdk plays this with nice control and shape(even at this tempo) but to say that Bach didn't think of tempos is ridiculous.

  • @Livingformusicxxx

Your dad plays shit better than that, keep your childish and bullshit comments to yourself.

  • Works at different tempos. I play it much slower (andante) but this works well as a serious piece
