They've been fitted into their uniforms, had their heads shaved and vaccinated for every disease know no to man. They're officially ready for training and we deliver our promise... more volume, more stress, and more chaos. In this next installment of "The Making of a Soldier" we take you to day one of Infantry Basic Training. Kenia Mills reports from Sand Hill
11 years in. SSG / drill sergeant. Mos 25f. Tried to reclass to 13b but no luck. For those hating on non combat arms training keep in mind we are at war. We all go on missions these days or get attached to other units. I was convoy security most of the time. As for hearing loss, I have near perfect hearing. Ied's and all.
