Streaming Nightwish - Sleeping sun from my pc to my Onkyo TX-NR 609 driving my 10 year old Jamo X 5 Series.
Front is 200 w. center is 180 watt Rear is 100 watt. Sub is actually turned off in this clip because i like my music better without it.
Im using the THX DTS NEO 6 setting whatever the h... that is because its providing clear sound for my likings. Sry for the mess but i have been playing with this system for 14 days before i got a breaktrough and found out that the Odyssey calibration had turned down alle my speakers so much that they could not provide the oomph i do like about them.

  • Awesome. Please share the name and artist of the song. Awesome song. Love it!

  • @canyoubelievethis220 Please read the 3 words written after "playing". It says "nightwish" and "sleeping sun" which states the artist and song name. But anyways youre right. Its a nice song.

Sorrrreeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee! I was caught up so much on the song, I forgot to look but thanks for STRAIGHTENING ME OUT!

  • @canyoubelievethis220 No problem :) Sry. for my somewhat rude reply to your request. :) I totally agree about the song being awesome. What matters is that you found the name of the artist because "Sleeping sun" is not the only great tune from "Nightwish" I could recommend lots of the earlier tunes from the times when Tarja Turunen was still in the band. Beautiful voice.

  • What the size of the subbs in the speakers ? :-)

  • @GameFreakBoy95 Do you mean the watts on the sub woofer? It's not stated anywhere. If you like to know I might be able to dig the information up on the internet somewhere. Or maybe I don't understand the question.

  • @Zandman1978 Thanks, yeah i´m pretty sure its just a tuning :-) if i find anything when i get mine i will return and try to help you :-)

  • @Zandman1978 No what i meant was, Whats the size of the subbs & mids in your front speakers ;-)

  • @howzerman1 mmm okay?! But this is about reviewing Onkyo receiver. It could have been playing whatever music. I just happened to come across another review using Nightwish. And took the idea because i believe its great for testing both high and low frequency sound.

  • @GameFreakBoy95 Sounds nice. My TV sucks. : ) Thank you by the way. However you should notice that i am having trouble with the volume regarding speech in movies. Its like the centre volume is to subtle in a normal surround setup. Music is great though. It might just be fine tuning that i am missing out on. But if I turn up the Centre speaker volume its much too loud in some settings not using Surround. Like when watching normal tv which is not HD.
