  • Dario has the heart of a lion in this fascinating tale of a man's obsession to last the race. Set in a very special part of the world, I was inspired by the passion and commitment. I am not a runner but watched every moment of the piece. Enthralling.

  • N.B. Mark is the Runner, Dario appears before the final section talking about the history of the race.

  • Dario Melaragni, the race organiser who features in this film, passed away during a recent training run. My thoughts go to his family.

Dario was enthusiastic and generous in his support of this film and a pleasure to deal with. I can't pretend to have known him very well but the many tributes from those who did confirm my experience was far from unique.

The race was very much Dario's event and I hope that the committee find a way to continue in honour of this dedicated and passionate man.

  • Blimey! Over 30,000 viewings. Who would have thought it? And it all came out of a remark in the pub.

Well Done Paulie. Great work once again.

  • I couldn't agree more. Dario was certainly an inspiration to many, and made the race what it is.

Here's hoping it can continue in the same spirit and tradition for many years to come.
