Want to learn how to drive stick? This video will help you get started. When I was first learning how to drive stick, I went on YouTube to seek tips from fellow drivers. Without your help, I would not have been able to learn as quickly as I did, and this video would not have been possible today. This video was an assignment for Mr. Reed's TV Production II course at Old Bridge High School. 11/12/08

Nice video. I just got one question if you wanna stay in 2nd gear while doing about 10-15mph in a parking lot looking for space you have 2 press in the cluth a bit too & kinda "balance" it with the gas pedal 2 keep the engine from shutting down right (if say you dont wanna down shift in the situation)? That's the right way 2 do it right? Or is it bad for the clutch?
Also, can you please do a tuturiol/explain how to down shift while driving at a high speed? Like what's the steps

is it true that americans doesnt learn to drive manual in driving school? here in europe nobody drives cars with automatic, its something for old people with problems with there feets or taxi drivers :)
