Nice, quite lovely actually. However, nothing can touch the 07/09/95 Soldier Field rendition. The twangy little solo Jerry played is one of my favorites of all the thousands of Jerry solos I've heard. I mean, it takes you there, to the front porch of a country shack, with a hound dog napping on the wood porch, near a lazy river road.
Date of performance anyone?? This must have been the tour when Karan was out for cancer therapy cuz Kimmock is on lead. I love to see all these guys any chance I get, and the Wavy Gravy 75th Bday in May was an amazing start for the Summer. Steve, Bobby, Chris Robinson, and a bunch of other family members.
@bellablue108 - We don't have The Man here anymore, and he & Phil are the only ones we'll likely ever see do this tune. So just be thankful for every last version we get. We don't have long
Despite the fact that it took so many years to get used to anyone but Jerry doing Jerry songs, I have always loved this tune. Bobby & Phil have the right to do it. And who's that guitarist with the cap?? He's got the playin Jer rights too. If I could say something to Mr. Hunter, it would be that he wrote a beautiful dreamy tapestry, evoking an image only Marc Chagall could paint. Come on Robert, tell me you had "The Village & I" hanging in your mind when you wrote this! fukinawesome tune!
i love the noise from bobs guitar!

A VERY slow tempoed version, but that's OK Bobby always did have a way of pulling us in...he's a f*ing rockstar!
