With violent crime on the rise in the city of Detroit, the Detroit Police Department had no other choice but to revive an old program started under Former Chief Warren Evans. In fact a similar program was put in place back in 1973. STRESS (Stop the Robberies and Enjoy Safe Streets.) This one police unit had been connected to the death of eight black people in its first four months of operation and 18 people in its first 14 months. That was then, this is now...these Special Ops teams are aggressive but lawful. They have one goal in mind, reclaiming the streets of Detroit. Fox 2's Charlie LeDuff takes a wild ride with an Ops team and shows what and who they deal with on a nightly basis.

  • Some t.v producer needs to make a show just like the original cops on fox but have it be only about Detroit police.

  • @detroitccw when negros like you need to speak you stay silence and when you need to shut up you speaking to much of nothing.

  • @detroitccw i don't understand black negros like you. why can't you go on these sites that have all these coward racist whites making racial remarks and insulting the black race and put them in check?

  • @detroitccw ok then what do you suggest they do to protect the innocent law abidding ppl in the city? mr street lawyer. also you point out by the video time what parts did the cops violate!!!

  • As a resident, I would know that. If you live here, then you also know that. Anyone who asserts that criminals outnumber law-abiding citizens is at best misinformed.

  • @detroitccw Because it's common knowledge that law abiding citizens outnumber criminals in Detroit, right?

  • This unit is illegally violating the rights of citizens in Detroit. They are stopping all citizens in the city of Detroit after dark who are either in cars and on foot to illegally stop them for no reason, illegally detain them, and to conduct illegal searches. They justify abusing the rights of law-abiding citizens by the few criminals they catch in these dragnets. Crime is no reason to trample upon the Constitution.
