This is a simple video to learn how to use System Restore to restore your computer to fix an error or remove a virus by restoring your PC or Laptop to an earlier date and time before the PC Crash, Computer Freeze or Crash started happening. This is also one of the best solution to remove Software that create problems after installation or to remove virus and other malware.

Clic on the "Start" button, then click "All Programs", followed by "Accessories", then click"System Tools" in it and then click the "System Restore" button. In the System Restore dialog box that appears read carefully what is written about system restore and click "Next" Button.

Here you will find the calendar on the left with some dates shown in Bold letters. These are the dates on which System Restore Points were created either by you or your Computer had created a System Restore Point normally before any software that you install. Click on the date you want to restore your computer to. On the right you will see the description and time of each restore point available. Click on the restore point you want to restore your PC or Laptop and then Click "Next"

In the next screen read up what is written. It tells you to close any open programs and then click "Next" button. Your Computer will start the System Restore Process immediately. It will take a few seconds and then your computer will reboot. You must login again as the same user as you were using when you started the System Restore for it to complete.

If you want to revert back then You can redo the System Restore process the same way and you will find an additional button called "Revert Back".

If your problem was not corrected by System Restore then do it again on another date and time.

If you are unable to use system restore in normal mode, then you can try going to safe mode by pressing F8 key during startup of your computer. System Restore is available in all Windows ME, Windows 2000, Windows XP & Windows Vista.
