@asmiddleditch I have a lupo and there extreamly well built reliable and efficient. The prius is an over priced failed experiment which caused more polution to build than its engine emmisions could ever make up for.

@nardmanman . The Lupo is a tiny slow 3 door car. The Prius is a large, quiet family car with a 0-60 time of 10 secs which also easily gets 60mpg+.

The lupo turbo in that year as 144 torque that's way more then a prius, so power the lupo turbo win, but space and size prius win. As efficiency goes from exierience alot of diesel have the same mpg as a third gen prius or better, 2007 legacy diesel 50 mpg, 1966 subaru 360 mpg 66, list goes on, i have work on prius and test drive all three generation in the states, by far to me it is the slowest car I have driven.

@CasusUniversum Get the new Passat TDI - Official claims are 39mpg - most people get around 45-50 mpg.

@CasusUniversum yeah but still the price differs to much considering the fact that you could buy a diesel passat in the same amount of money so what i am trying to say is that its not quite as good...YET.chers
