The RX-8 was a fail, god they should have just stuck with the 3rd gen RX-7, it was one of the best cars ever made (opinion, but true) ;)

@sammyrock0087 Rx8 was not a fail at all, in fact its a handling goddess. The actuall chassis of the rx8 is one of the best ever built to hold cornering. Rx8 beat the M3 and GTR in handling and was rated 3rd Best sports Car under $100k, don't believe me look it up! CarandDriver. The rx8 has a perfect 50/50 weight distribution that when driven on track, it can lap cars with over 100hp more than it, and its a 4door. Don't talk shit about an Rx8 when you have no clue about it.

@RoskoRayy Yes I know that, and the fuel emissions on the RX-7 were terrible (15-25 mpgs depending on the spec) And the RX-8 was deliberately less powerful so it could be more efficent. It doesn't stop the RX-7 from being my favourite car ever though :)

@sammyrock0087 You know that the 3rd gen RX-7 was an abysmal financial failure for Mazda, right? I agree it's a great car, but Mazda couldn't keep throwing money out the window. The RX-8 is also fantastic, just not as fast in a straight line - no turbo due to emissions laws.

they should have put the rx7 engine in rx8 it would have made that one of the best cars amnufactured by mazda

the FD is one of the best looking cars of all time in my opinion and its faster than the RX8
