Such power on a floor that probably wasn't much springier than my living room carpet. Awesome!

If she was performing this same routine today, she could definitely rival some of the competitors of our time. Of course, she would have to tweak a few skills and dance movement to get the bonus.

Maxi Gnauck could[and probably still can] do as many "floor exercises" with me as she liked,but in all seriousness Maxi Gnauck should be well-remembered as one if the gymnastics greats of the early 1980's.

it sucks that with all the stars forthose many years leading up to the olympics in 1980 and 1984 never got to get to a "real" olympics, even if it was boycotted by a country that wasn't so good at the time. They sstill are remebered as the ones who competed at the boycotted olympics and it really takes away from their gymnastics, such a shame.
